MASTERPOINT RACE STANDINGS-HARDIES RACE

Updated June 1, 2008

HISTORY

Bobb Hardies, who died in 1975 from leukemia at the age of 41, was one of Cleveland most outstanding bridge players.  He excelled as both a bridge teacher and writer.  He organized a discussion group to present and discuss bridge theories.  He was also the bridge columnist for the Cleveland Press and a practicing attorney.  The Bobb Hardies Race is a fitting tribute to a man who reveled in competition and excelled in it.

MASTERPOINT RULES

The masterpoints which count for the Hardies Race include all masterpoints won at the three Unit 125 Sectionals as well as the Vichill League. The Race begins each year with the Summer Sectional, and ends with the Vichill League. The award is presented each year at the Summer Sectional.
