Congratulations to Pat Chisholm , the leading masterpoint winner from our unit at the April Sectional. Marge Baldwin, from the Akron unit, was the overall leading masterpoint winner.
Congratulations to Paul Facinelli , the leading masterpoint winner (tied) at the March Akron Sectional.
Congratulations to Phil Becker & Kumar Bhatia, from the Reno Nationals, who played the 3rd day in the Vanderbilt Teams, and then only narrowly losing to an excellent French Team. In addition, they finished 5th overall in the 2 day National Open Swiss.
Congratulations to Kathy Sulgrove, from the Reno Nationals, who finished 7th overall in the 2-day National Women's Pairs.

BRIDGE LESSONS-
Bev Carter will be offering free bridge lessons to future life masters on Friday nights beginning the
end of Sept. at 6:30pm. These will be held at the Middleburg Hts. Community Church, at Bagley
and Big Creek Pkwy. Her regular game follows at 7:15pm, and she is hoping for a 0-299r game as
well. If not, students are welcome to join the regular game. For more info. Call Bev at

STaC GAMES- The next STaC week will be in December, 2010.
Our Unit has also developed a new Mentoring Program which will take place at the Whist Club during all pairs
events. The criteria is easy:
A MENTOR: Anyone who is a Life Master or holds 500 points or more can be a Mentor
A MENTEE: Players who are not yet Life Masters or have less than 500 points
MENTORS PLAY WITH THEIR MENTEE AT THE WHIST CLUB FOR FREE, Sunday afternoon (consult the
weekly results from the Home Page). When you pay your entry fee, advise the director you are playing with a
mentee.
